1. Positioning

Niche down 🙂. “The Niche is You” is not a good advice for beginners. The Niche is You if you’re a Joe Rogan, Gary Vee or Alex Hormozi.

But the truth is - nobody cares about you. And nobody cares about me either. You’re reading this e-mail cause you believe it can bring you value - not because you like me (ok maybe you like me a little tiny bit).

So the biggest mistake Ghostwriters make is trying to write for everyone.

The result?

You end up writing for no one.

Instead:

Pick ONE specific niche and write for ONE specific person.

2. Optimize your Profile

If your profile is not optimized, you won’t land any clients.

Here are the 5 Simple Steps to optimize your profile:

• Picture: Clear and professional. No selfies please…

• Bio: What You Do (Ghostwriting), Who You Do It For (Psychologists), Credentials (if you have some), Your Vibe (hobbies, funny anecdotes, etc..)

• Pinned Post: Results you got for yourself or results you got for your clients

• Banner: Simple. I help [Niche] build an online brand and land more clients.

3. Attract clients with your content

If you want to monetize your writing you need to become a good writer (obviously).

How?

Writing good content comes down to 3 things:

1. Study other Creators and implement what you learned in your own content.

2. Study Hooks: Save great hooks you come across

3. Research: Study high-performing content (Quora, Medium, Youtube,…)

Consume, reframe & build upon what you’re consuming.

4. Free Work

Free Work made me rich.

I had 7 Testimonials before I even had 1 paying client.

When my first paying client came, I showed him the testimonials and he paid right away.

5. Create an Offer

Please understand this:

Your offer is NOT your service. Your offer is your outcome.

Bad offer: "I'll write your X content for you"

Good offer: "I free 3 hours of your day and gain you 500+ Followers by writing all your X content and engaging with your audience so you can focus on serving your clients"

So please, fix your offers…

6. Outreach

Simple:

• Create a private list of 50-100 prospects

• Follow and engage with their content for a week

• Reach out in the DM’s and offer them work for free

• Go on a call with them and show them your full offer

Do this for 10+ people and you’ll land your first client within 2-4 weeks.

7. Overdeliver

If you can get insane results for 1 client, your business is set forever.

I got my first client 1000 Followers and 500+ E-Mail Subscribers in 30 days -  now I don’t have to worry about landing a client again.

Overdeliver for your first 2 clients and turn them into case studies.

8. Show your results on Twitter

Write up a long-form sharing your clients’ results on Twitter:

• The problem your client was facing (no followers and engagement)

• The results you achieved for him (500+ followers in 30 days)

• How you did it (Hook creation, engagement tactics, viral Threads, etc..)

Do this, people will start reaching out to you for more work.

9. Upgrade your Offer

Become a ghostwriter who can also:

• Send emails that make money

• Design landing pages that convert

• Create lead magnets to get newsletter subs

This allows you to put these new services into your offer and increase your prices.

So here’s the summary of scaling a $5k-$10k/Month Ghostwriting Business:

• Optimize your Profile & Positioning

• Write valuable content

• Do Free Work

• Create an irresistible offer

• Land a client and overdeliver

• Post a case study to get new leads

• Learn new skills to stack your offer

• Retain your existing client while increasing prices

• Increase prices for new clients

Do that for 3 months & you will hit a minimum of 5k/month.

Do that for 6 months & you will hit a minimum of 10k/month.
