Before I helped others grow on Threads I somehow thought my audience grew by luck. It was hard for me to take credit for my growth (my imposter kicking in).

And that’s btw something I really need to work on - being proud and satisfied with what I did. As online creators, we fall into the trap of constantly comparing ourselves with others - no good.

It will make you feel you’re behind and you won’t be able to recognize the growth you are going through.

So ask yourself every week: “Did I improve the last 7 days?” and if the answer is “yes” then take credit. Be proud of yourself. See the wins.

1. Showed her credibility

Threads is big on credibility.

My client is a Psychologist - of course, we will leverage that.

• Do you have a degree?

• Gained X followers in X days?

• Any relevant working experience?

List anything that makes you credible - trust me, the Threads algorithm will reward you.

2. Research

The best content creators I know are the best researchers.

Constantly analyzing the market, learning from others, and studying viral posts.

I spent months saving viral content I came across.

• I save viral posts on Threads

• Watch viral YouTube videos in my niche

• Read upvoted answers on Quora/Reddit

• Read viral Medium articles

• consume book summaries on Blinkist

• …the list goes on…

It doesn’t matter where you consume good content, but it matters that you do!

So I shared my viral topic ideas with my client and she executed perfectly.

Once you know what topics to write about and how to phrase your hooks, your posts are impossible to flop.

3. Focus on Long-Form Threads

I still see many people on Threads only writing short-form posts.

While they are much easier to do than long-form threads, they don’t have the same weight behind it.

And on the other hand, Long-form threads make you grow fast.

Because, unlike short-form posts, they require more time investment from your audience.

And the more attention the reader gives you the more likely they are to follow you.

A big part of her rapid growth is her investment in long-form content.

4. Be Unique

Most content on Threads is generic, boring, and repetitive.

So how to stand out?

Speak your truth!

And your deepest truths can be controversial. There's a great quote that holds true here: "He who dares not to offend cannot be honest.

Her credibility as a Psychologist + her courage to voice her beliefs made her go viral repeatedly.

5. Proofreading

In academia, it’s normal to proofread each others’ content but I don’t see many online creators leverage that.

Letting a fresh pair of eyes look over your content is gold - they spot mistakes you overlooked.

To this day I let others look over my content because I know there’s always something to improve!

And it made my writing so much better.

So I do the same with all my clients - I look over their writing, comment, edit, and make suggestions.

That’s the quickest way to become one of the best writers on the platform.
