I have a confession to make...
Those of you who have been reading my newsletter for a while might have noticed this:
I tend to switch between talking about Psychology/Spirituality and Personal branding.
One week you get an email on how to grow your following and the other week you are getting an email me talking about how to find Godā¦.
okay maybe not be that deep š but what I want to say is:
Thatās me.
I spent my free time meditating, going for walks, and philosophizing about the universe. (my friends go through a lot with me š)
Then I open my laptop and educate on how to write hooks that lead to more likes on your post. And sometimes this part feels a bit meaningless.
Why build a personal brand when all we need to do here is to be connected to God (life, nature, universe, however you want to call it)?
Itās just a thought but it shows - at the end whatās important is your presence with life. To be open and accepting of whatever life throws at you and to see it as a gift.
Since I realized that I feel much less pressure when it comes to my business: Because all I need to do here on earth is to remain open. Thatās it. Everything else is secondary.
but that made me also be conflictedā¦
I love talking about how beautiful it feels when you sit down on a random bench in the park look up to the cloudy sky and listen to the birds chirp as they are about to start their long travels.
Because I believe that this is all that matters in the end - being present with lives unfolding.
But talking about presence is not where my income comes from.
I built my business upon educating on writing, personal branding, audience growth, and client acquisition (which Iām truly grateful for).
So rationally thinking - you should then only focus on this right?
I donāt think so anymore. I realized the only way to make my business sustainable is to create what I want to create.
I donāt want my North Star to be how to make the most money out of this. Iām willing to make less for the sake of including spiritual topics within my content. Because thatās part of me. And I donāt want to leave parts of me out - neither should you ever leave parts of you out when it comes to building a business!
Of course, I still enjoy talking about branding, Writing, Threads Growth etcā¦but I donāt want to neglect the part of me who wants to talk about my weird thoughts about the universe.
So I just want to let you know that in the next weeks or months, you might see more and more content from me that also touches on Psychology and Spirituality.
So this newsletter will be a mix of insights from my personal life, Personal branding tips, and talks about health and connection.
I understand if thatās not for you. And if you want to unsubscribe I totally get it. No hard feelings.
I just wanted to give you a heads-up because this is my honest truth:
I donāt want to niche down to one thing. I want to express myself in whichever way I feel (of course always with the goal of giving you as much value as possible)
Iām deeply grateful for you being part of this letter and reading the emails Iām sending you.
If thereās anything youāre struggling with (personal life or branding) please reach out by replying to this e-mail.
Iām here.
And always remember the words of the great and powerful Ram Dass:
Love everybody, serve everybody, and remember God.
With love,
Heythem
