9 business lessons I learned to make $5k/MRR by writing online

puuh what a journey it has been…

1st of June 2023 was the day I bought a 1300$ course on how to be a successful blogger online.

(blogging in 2023? yeah I know…)

Result?

• Google algorithm crushed me

• my blogs were read by nobody

• made 0$ in 8 months blogging

FAILURE!

Yes you could say that (and I often felt like that) but I don’t see it that way anymore. I learned a sh*t ton by building my blog:

SEO, website building, link building, writing, hooks, etc…

But in February 2024 I knew I needed to make a change. So I googled “how to make money by writing online”

(desperate I know)

But this moment changed everything for me. I went down the rabbit hole of binge-watching Dan Koe, Dakota Robertson, Nicolas Cole, and many more.

And then I made the decision: Create an account on X (formerly Twitter) and go all in.

What happened next?

Completely broke, not knowing where to go I sold my handpan to hire a mentor to help me with my business.

Result in 2024?

• January: $0 made

• February: -$750 (hired my mentor)

• March: +$750 (first client)

• April: $2000 (2 clients)

• May: $10,500 (4 clients)

You know what this means? I made zero money for 8 months and then I made $13,000 in 3 months.

And this is how business goes. It’s like a bamboo:

You spend years building your roots that nobody sees.

Then you explode into the air within weeks.
